Physical Therapy

Pelvic Floor PT

Pelvic floor physical therapy can address a range of musculoskeletal conditions related to the pelvic floor.

Common diagnoses I treat include urinary or fecal incontinence, urgency, and frequency; constipation; tailbone pain; painful intercourse; back pain; hip pain; pelvic girdle pain; pain related to pregnancy or postpartum; pelvic organ prolapse; diastasis rectus abdominus.

Pelvic floor related symptoms are vulnerable and can be scary to address. As a pelvic floor physical therapist I get that, and have the skills and expertise to help you find lasting relief from pelvic health issues.

Prenatal PT

Prenatal PT improves your quality of life throughout your pregnancy and postpartum journey. Research shows that Pelvic floor interventions during pregnancy reduce the impact of pregnancy and delivery on the pelvic floor and improve outcomes for birth and postpartum recovery.

Prenatal physical therapy supports the changes your body is going through and helps to prepare and support your body for childbirth.

With prenatal PT you will:

  • Address any pain or dysfunction brought on or exacerbated by pregnancy.

  • Stay active and mobile which research has shown reduces risk factors and shortens labor

  • Learn appropriate breathing techniques and positioning/movements for labor and delivery

  • Learn how to push effectively as you connect with your pelvic floor and deepest core muscles

  • Learn perineal massage towards the end of pregnancy

Postpartum PT

Physical therapy is an essential component of fourth trimester care.

Early in-home interventions can be a supportive bridge between bringing home baby and your 6-week provider check up. These early in-home sessions include pain assessments and treatment, bowel and bladder screening with healthy habit education, ergonomic support with baby feeding, carrying, bathing, etc, breath training and gentle connection to your pelvic floor/core as appropriate.

Following your 6-week provider check up, we can address any lingering concerns, assess the pelvic floor, begin gentle scar tissue mobilization, reconnect with deep core and pelvic muscles, and so much more!

Orthopedic PT

Experiencing back, shoulder, neck, or knee pain?

As an experienced orthopedic physical therapist I work with you to improve your movement and function, recover from injury, and manage pain, chronic conditions, and other diseases. I will evaluate and treat your concerns to support healing, build strength, and reduce pain across your body.
